The Caussenarde Farm of Yesteryear

Posted on 15-11-2022

The Caussenarde farm of yesteryear, with its typical 18th and 19th century architecture, with its vaults and roofs of limestone slates is a museum of the daily life of farmers until the 1950s on the Causse Méjean. As you walk through the main living area and the communal bedroom you will see furniture linens and all daily items. Pass by the stable, the sheepfold, the barn and the bread oven, noticing the tools of a bygone era. This farm has been uninhabited since 1946.

You can visit the website of the Ferme Caussenarde d'Autrefois for more informations.
